Temple Mount Sifting Project in Jerusalem
Jerusalem, Israel. 25th October, 2016. Dr. GABRIEL BARKAY, archaeologist, member of the Public Committee Against the Destruction of Antiquities on the Temple Mount, who leads the Temple Mount Sifting Project, explains the importance of findings. The Temple Mount Sifting Project continues sifting through debris dug up by the Muslim Waqf on Temple Mount and dumped in the Kidron Valley in the midst of international controversy on the implications of UNESCO's recent Occupied Palestine draft decision, approved at committee stage in Paris on October 13, 2016. Numerous archaeological remains, connected to the Second Temple, have been excavated under the auspices of the City of David Foundation.
